This introduction is mainly from a ‘professional’ perspective : Valid as of March 2007.
Sunil Bhave is a Director with Equity Learning.
In addition to training and consulting with Equity Learning, he consults with software organizations in the areas of engineering improvements and deployment of strategic engineering initiatives.
He has over 20 years of varied experience in software development and process engineering.
He is a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 9000 and is a consultant on BVQI’s panel of Lead Auditors.
As an auditor he has had the opportunity to evaluate most of India’s top software organizations for their compliance to ISO 9000. The list of organizations includes Infosys, Wipro, Satyam, Mahendra British Telecom, BFL Software, Kshema and NIIT.
Apart from his involvement with process and quality systems, Sunil has also been actively involved with the hands on management of the Engineering function.
He has held senior management positions at BFL Software, Wisdom Information Consultants and NuVista Corp.
His last full time assignment was as Senior Director Engineering at Openera Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
He has also worked for six years in the Bay Area, California with reputed companies such as E*Trade Financial and NuVista Corp.
Keenly interested in the human aspects of software projects and teams deliverables, he also has an innate love of teaching. He has conducted various training programs in all the organizations where he has worked.
These programs have been well received because he brings his hands-on experience in the industry to the training arena.
Sunil is an MCA from the Pune University and a keen outdoor enthusiast, his passions are rock climbing, wind surfing and back packing. In addition to living and working in the US he has traveled to the UK, Netherlands, Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Germany, Scotland, and Dubai.
